Israeli Forces Kill Attacker, Arrest Four in West Bank Operation
Israeli security forces eliminated a Palestinian attacker and apprehended four additional suspects during an overnight operation in the Samaria region of the West Bank. The counter-terrorism operation, involving the IDF and Border Police under the direction of the Shin Bet, targeted several villages including Qabalan, 'Azzun, 'Aqraba, and Yatma.
Forces entered the village of 'Aqraba to interrogate a militant affiliated with a terror organization. Upon arrival, the suspect hurled a Molotov cocktail and an improvised explosive device at the soldiers, causing no casualties. The forces then initiated a 'pressure cooker' procedure, surrounding the structure where the militant was hiding before breaching it. Soldiers from the Nahal Brigade's reconnaissance unit killed the attacker, who was armed with a knife and intended to attack the soldiers.
During the operation, four individuals were arrested. Among them were three militants involved in arms dealing and another who was planning an imminent attack. Security forces interrogated approximately 60 wanted individuals across 70 locations in the villages, seizing ammunition, a rocket-propelled grenade launcher, and other military equipment.
