Israeli Forces Kill Terrorist in West Bank Raid, Arrest Four Others
Israeli forces operating in several villages in the Samaria region of the West Bank overnight neutralized a terrorist who threw an explosive device and a firebomb at them. The incident occurred in the village of Aqrabah, where the assailant, identified as belonging to a terror organization, barricaded himself in a structure after the attack. Israeli forces, guided by the Shin Bet, initiated a "pressure cooker" procedure, surrounding the building before breaching it. Soldiers from the Nahal Brigade's reconnaissance unit killed the terrorist as he held a knife, which the IDF stated he intended to use against them. No Israeli soldiers were harmed during the operation.
During the broader counter-terrorism operation, which also included the villages of Qabalan, 'Uzarin, and Yatma, Israeli forces apprehended four additional wanted individuals. Among those arrested were three terrorists involved in arms dealing and another who was reportedly planning an imminent attack. The forces questioned approximately 60 suspects during searches of about 70 locations across the villages. Additionally, ammunition, a rocket launcher, and other military equipment were discovered and confiscated.
