IDF Forces Kill Terrorist in West Bank Village During Counter-Terror Operation
Israeli military forces eliminated a terrorist in the West Bank village of Aqrabah on Tuesday night who was attempting to carry out an attack against them. The operation, conducted by the IDF and Border Police under the direction of the Shin Bet security agency, targeted terror activity in the area of Qabalan, 'Azmut, Aqrabah, and Yatma villages in the Samaria Brigade.
Upon arriving at a structure in Aqrabah to interrogate a terrorist affiliated with a terror organization, the individual threw an incendiary bottle and an improvised explosive device at the soldiers. The forces initiated a 'pressure cooker' procedure, surrounding the building before breaching it. Special Forces from the Nahal Brigade then killed the terrorist as he wielded a knife, intending to attack the soldiers. No Israeli forces were injured in the incident, according to the IDF.
During the broader operation, forces apprehended four wanted individuals, including three suspected of arms trafficking and one believed to be planning an imminent attack. The IDF reported that approximately 60 suspects were interrogated during searches of 70 locations, with ammunition, a rocket-propelled grenade launcher, and additional military equipment seized.
