IDF Forces Neutralize Knife-Wielding Terrorist in West Bank Operation
Israeli forces conducted a counter-terrorism operation in several Palestinian villages in the Samaria region, following a recent attack in the area. The operation, involving the IDF and Border Police under the direction of the Shin Bet, targeted the villages of Qabalan, 'Azmut, 'Aqrabah, and Yatma.
In the village of 'Aqrabah, IDF soldiers attempted to interrogate a terrorist affiliated with a terror organization. Upon the soldiers' arrival, the suspect threw Molotov cocktails and improvised explosive devices at them, causing no casualties. The forces then implemented a 'pressure cooker' procedure, surrounding the building where the terrorist was hiding before breaching it. During the raid, soldiers from the Nahal Brigade's reconnaissance unit neutralized the terrorist, who was armed with a knife and intended to attack the soldiers.
During the broader operation across the Samaria villages, forces apprehended four wanted individuals. Among them were three suspected arms dealers and another terrorist who was planning an imminent attack. The soldiers questioned approximately 60 suspects during searches of 70 locations, also discovering ammunition, a rocket-propelled grenade launcher, and other military equipment.
