IDF Forces Kill Terrorist in West Bank Village After Attack

Israeli forces conducted counter-terrorism operations overnight in several villages in the Samaria Brigade area, leading to the elimination of a terrorist in the village of Aqrabah. The operation, guided by the Shin Bet, targeted multiple locations including the villages of Qabalan, 'Uzarin, Aqrabah, and Yatma.

In Aqrabah, soldiers arrived to question a terrorist affiliated with a terror organization. Upon their arrival, the suspect threw an incendiary bottle and an improvised explosive device at the forces, who were unharmed. The troops then implemented a "pressure cooker" procedure, surrounding the building where the terrorist was holed up. When the suspect did not respond to calls, Nahal Brigade reconnaissance soldiers breached the structure and killed the terrorist, who was armed with a knife and intended to attack the soldiers.

The commander of the platoon, Major Y., who neutralized the terrorist, had previously fought in the Gaza envelope on October 7th, where he was wounded before returning to combat duty. He was credited with demonstrating bravery and determination in defending Israeli civilians during the overnight operation.

During the broader operation, Israeli forces apprehended four wanted individuals. Among them were three terrorists involved in arms dealing and another who was planning an imminent attack. The forces questioned approximately 60 individuals across 70 locations, also locating ammunition, a rocket-propelled grenade launcher, and additional military equipment.

The operations involved soldiers from the IDF and the Border Police in Judea and Samaria, with the goal of disrupting terrorist activities in the region.
