Israeli Farmer Critically Wounded in Samaria Farm Attack; Assailant Neutralized

A Palestinian assailant infiltrated the Maoz Yehuda farm near the village of Usarin in Samaria on Monday, September 7, and critically wounded a 20-year-old Israeli man with multiple stab wounds. The farmer reportedly approached the Palestinian to inquire about his presence when the attack occurred. The assailant fled the scene in a vehicle. Security forces, including units from Duvdevan, the 636th battalion, and the Nahal Brigade's reconnaissance unit, were dispatched to the area to search for the attacker.

Approximately one hour later, the attacker's vehicle was located in the village of Idna, also in Samaria. When confronted by soldiers, the terrorist attempted to attack them with a knife and was subsequently neutralized by a brigade commander. The regional council of Samaria stated the assailant arrived in a minivan, exited with a knife, and asked the farmer about his weapon before launching the assault. The wounded farmer, who was on a quad bike at the time, managed to return to the farm and apply a tourniquet to his injuries before paramedics arrived.

The Magen David Adom emergency service received the call at 10:38 AM. The victim, suffering from wounds to his arm, neck, and head, was evacuated by ambulance and IDF medical personnel to Beilinson Hospital in moderate to severe condition. Paramedics described him as conscious and receiving first aid on-site.

This incident occurs amidst rising tensions in Judea and Samaria, with security officials concerned about potential attacks ahead of upcoming Jewish holidays. The previous day, September 6, the IDF and Yamam special forces, acting on Shin Bet intelligence, conducted an operation in the village of Aqaba targeting Hamas infrastructure, arresting 10 militants and discovering a rocket, explosives, and other munitions intended for attacks.
