Israeli Man Critically Wounded in West Bank Stabbing Attack
A young Israeli man in his 20s sustained moderate to serious injuries Tuesday morning in a stabbing attack at the "Mitzpe Yehuda" outpost near the Palestinian village of Usrin, in Area B of the West Bank. Initial reports indicate the assailant fled the scene, prompting a large-scale search by Israeli forces that included cordoning off several Palestinian villages in the area. The injured man was conscious when evacuated to Beilinson Hospital for treatment. According to the victim's account, the attacker arrived in a commercial vehicle, asked about his weapon, then exited the vehicle with a knife and stabbed him in the upper body, breaking the knife.
The incident follows a similar stabbing attack near the village of Al-Auja in the Jordan Valley two weeks prior, which left a 24-year-old man with moderate injuries. Security forces later apprehended the 16-year-old assailant after a several-hour pursuit.
