Chery's iCaur SUV Brand Set for Israeli Market Entry

Chinese automaker Chery is expanding its presence in Israel with the upcoming launch of its iCaur SUV brand, to be imported by local dealer "Samlit". This move follows the strong performance of Chery's sister brands, Omoda and Jaecoo, which have topped Israeli vehicle delivery charts as of late August 2026. Chery's own brand currently holds the second position in sales, with another sub-brand, Chery Tiggo, also slated for an Israeli debut soon under importer "Preserve".

The first iCaur model to arrive in Israel will be the V27, a large SUV with a design reminiscent of the Land Rover Defender and Toyota Land Cruiser 250. The V27 is equipped with a range-extended plug-in hybrid system, featuring a 1.5-liter, 136-horsepower gasoline engine paired with two electric motors (204 hp front, 252 hp rear), enabling acceleration to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. The vehicle measures 5.04 meters long, 1.98 meters wide, and 1.89 meters high, with a wheelbase of 2.90 meters. Compared to the Land Rover Defender 110, the V27 is slightly longer, narrower, shorter, and has a shorter wheelbase, but boasts superior off-road approach and departure angles (30.1 and 37.7 degrees, respectively) and a water-fording depth of 60 cm.

Future additions to the iCaur lineup in Israel are expected to include the compact V25 and the smaller V23. The V25 is scheduled for an official launch towards the end of the year, measuring 4.64 meters long. The V23 will be the smallest in the family at 4.22 meters long and will offer a fully electric powertrain in two configurations: one with 136 hp and a 59.93 kWh battery, and another with 211 hp and an 81.76 kWh battery.
