Chery Deepens Israeli Market Presence with New Premium SUV Brand

The Israeli automotive importer, Al-Motar Group, owned by the Levy family, has officially secured the marketing franchise for ICAUR, a new premium vehicle brand from China's Chery. ICAUR specializes in rugged, off-road-styled premium vehicles featuring all-wheel drive and advanced plug-in hybrid technology.

The first model, designated the V27, will launch in Israel in November. It boasts European specifications and a design reminiscent of the Land Rover Defender. The V27 measures 5 meters long, 1.98 meters wide, and 1.9 meters high, with a wheelbase of 2.9 meters.

The top-tier V27 variant will be equipped with a gasoline engine paired with two electric motors, delivering a combined output of 455 horsepower. It will feature a 34.3 kWh battery offering an electric-only range of up to approximately 150 kilometers and a total range nearing 1000 kilometers. For off-road capabilities, the V27 includes electronic control systems and rear-wheel steering.

While pricing is not yet confirmed, it is estimated to start around 250,000 Israeli shekels. A seven-seater version is also planned for a later release. Al-Motar Group secured this franchise after competing with several major vehicle import groups, partly due to its existing strong ties with Chery in Europe, where it already markets Chery brands in Romania, Switzerland, and Greece. This marks the third Chinese automotive brand Al-Motar Group will distribute in Israel.
