Grand Rabbi of Belz Hospitalized for Medical Tests
The Grand Rabbi of Belz was taken to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem overnight for a series of medical examinations. Thousands of Hasidim had waited for approximately five hours for his arrival at a Selichot service in the Great Beit Midrash in Kiryat Belz. Due to the extended delay and the understanding that the Rabbi would not be able to attend the service, the Hasidim began reciting the prayers without him. Later, it was announced to the congregation that the Rabbi had been taken to the hospital for tests. Upon hearing the news, thousands of Hasidim in the Great Beit Midrash recited Psalms and prayed for his complete and swift recovery. The public has been called upon to continue praying for the recovery of Rabbi Issachar Dov, son of Miriam, along with all the sick of Israel.
