US Ambassador Visits Palestinian Village, Condemns Settler Violence
U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Hackbee visited the Palestinian village of Turmus Ayya, near Ramallah, in what Reuters reported as a visit to the "occupied West Bank." During his visit, Hackbee met with Palestinian families, including Palestinian-Americans whose relatives were reportedly attacked or killed by "Jewish rioters."
According to village authorities, approximately 80% of Turmus Ayya's residents hold American citizenship. Hackbee stated during his visit, "A crime is a crime, terror is terror. Whoever commits it must bear severe consequences."
