IDF Plans to Destroy Hezbollah Infrastructure Near Lebanon Border

The Israeli military (IDF) intends to completely destroy the area from which Hezbollah terrorists launch attacks against Israelis, according to a report by i24News. Following the capture and clearing of the Al-Taher region, Israeli command advocates for the permanent disabling and demolition of Hezbollah's underground infrastructure in the area. Preparations for this operation are complete, and the political leadership must now make the final decision.

Israel has also issued a warning to Iran, stating that if threats related to the Al-Taher ridge situation materialize and Iran attacks Israel, the IDF will deliver a swift and powerful response. Israeli forces are prepared for a large-scale retaliatory operation.

In recent weeks, IDF's 36th Division conducted extensive operations in southern Lebanon, focusing on identifying and eliminating Hezbollah's underground facilities and infrastructure near the Al-Taher ridge. After these actions, the IDF plans to adjust its troop positions and defensive lines based on the evolving regional situation.

Earlier reports indicated that IDF forces continued operations in the Al-Taher ridge area of southern Lebanon, resulting in the elimination of a significant number of Hezbollah terrorists. Some militants managed to evacuate the area before IDF units secured full control.

Hezbollah has reportedly shown no intention of vacating its positions on the strategic Al-Taher ridge or transferring control to the Lebanese armed forces. This development is expected to provoke a strong reaction from the IDF.
