Man Dies, Another Injured in Negev Single-Vehicle Crash

A 40-year-old man, Ayman Salim Al-Atawneh from Hura, died late last night in a single-vehicle accident in the Negev. Another man, 35, sustained minor injuries. The crash occurred on a side road in the Lahav Forest, near the Lehavim junction.

Paramedics from Magen David Adom were dispatched to the scene after receiving a report at 12:17 AM. Upon arrival, they found a severely damaged vehicle that appeared to have overturned. Al-Atawneh was found outside the vehicle with critical, life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The second injured individual, who suffered minor bruises and injuries, was transported to Soroka Hospital in Be'er Sheva for further treatment.

Paramedics described the scene, noting the extensive damage to the car and the critical condition of Al-Atawneh, who was unconscious and without a pulse. The 35-year-old was reported to be in mild condition after being evacuated to the hospital.
