Man Dies in Vehicle Rollover Accident Near Lakiya in Negev
A man in his 40s died and a 35-year-old man was injured in a vehicle rollover accident that occurred on a side road in a wooded area near the town of Lakiya in the Negev region, shortly after midnight between Friday and Saturday. Emergency medical services arrived at the scene and pronounced the older man dead due to severe injuries. The younger man, described as having minor injuries, received initial treatment and was transported to Soroka Hospital in Be'er Sheva for further care.
Medical personnel reported finding a severely damaged vehicle that had apparently overturned. The deceased was found outside the vehicle, unconscious, without a pulse or breathing. The injured man was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The police have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the accident. According to data from the National Road Safety Authority, 303 people, including 120 Arab citizens, have died in road accidents in Israel since the beginning of the year.
