Two Shot Dead in Nazareth, Part of Deadly Weekend Violence

Two men were shot and killed in Nazareth on Thursday evening, bringing the total number of shooting deaths in the city to five in two days. One victim died at the scene, while the second was critically injured and later died. The incident follows a deadly shooting on Wednesday in which three people were killed in Nazareth: two men shot dead inside a vehicle, and a 27-year-old resident killed shortly thereafter.

Paramedics described finding the two victims in their car, unconscious with severe penetrating wounds, and pronounced them dead at the scene. Earlier on Thursday, paramedics responding to the scene of the 27-year-old's murder found him unconscious with severe gunshot wounds and pronounced him dead.

This wave of violence comes after two men in their 30s were killed in Jaffa within 48 hours over the weekend. On Thursday night, Hamad Abd Shakra was shot and killed on Jerusalem Boulevard in Jaffa. He was evacuated in critical condition to Wolfson Medical Center in Holon, where he was pronounced dead.

On Saturday night, another resident of Jaffa was killed in a shooting, and a 20-year-old man was seriously injured. Both were taken to Wolfson Medical Center, where the death of one of them was confirmed.
