Massive Drug Haul Seized at Farm Near Modi'in

Israeli police, aided by border police and a police dog, uncovered approximately 455 kilograms of suspected cannabis, other drugs, and cash during a raid on an agricultural farm in the Hemed region near Modi'in. The operation, stemming from an initiative by detectives from the Lev Tel Aviv station in the Yarkon district against drug trafficking, was conducted under a court order.

During the search, officers observed a commercial vehicle and numerous cartons nearby. A search of the vehicle and its surroundings yielded the large quantity of suspected cannabis, about 13 grams of suspected cocaine, approximately 21,000 shekels in cash, the commercial vehicle, and four mobile phones. The drugs were reportedly divided into large quantities, believed to be intended for trafficking.

A suspect, a resident of Givat Shmuel in his 30s, was arrested at the scene and taken for questioning at the Lev Tel Aviv station. He is scheduled to appear in court today, where police will request an extension of his detention pending the investigation's needs and findings.
