Massive Drug Haul Seized at Agricultural Farm Near Modi'in
Police in the Tel Aviv area, working with Border Police and a police dog handler, conducted an operation at an agricultural farm in the Hemed region near Modi'in, acting on a court order. During the search, officers discovered a commercial vehicle and numerous cardboard boxes nearby, containing large quantities of drugs suspected to be intended for trafficking.
In total, authorities seized approximately 455 kilograms of material suspected to be cannabis, along with about 13 grams of suspected cocaine. Also confiscated were approximately 21,000 shekels in cash, the commercial vehicle, and four mobile phones.
A suspect, a man in his 30s from Givat Shmuel, was arrested and taken for questioning at the Lev Tel Aviv police station. He is scheduled to appear in court today, where police will request an extension of his detention pending the investigation's progress and findings.
