National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has sent a strong message to senior Likud officials, urging them to expedite the process for Member of Knesset Tali Gottlieb to join his Otzma Yehudit party. Political circles anticipate Gottlieb's official announcement of her move to Otzma Yehudit in the coming hours. She is expected to be placed in the coveted fourth position on the party's Knesset list.

This significant political shift follows a period of intense tension between Gottlieb and the Likud leadership. Gottlieb expressed deep disappointment after securing only the 20th spot in the Likud primaries, a result she attributed to a targeted campaign orchestrated by individuals close to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. She believes these actions were intended to sideline her from a realistic electoral position.

In recent days, Gottlieb has been highly critical of Netanyahu, even accusing him in a radio interview of "stabbing her in the back." She took to X, formerly Twitter, to assert her unwavering loyalty to the voters and the Likud party, while simultaneously accusing the Prime Minister and his advisors of working to exclude her, contrary to the will of the electorate.
