Tali Gottlieb Nears Move to Ben-Gvir's Jewish Power Party

The Jewish Power party and the Likud are in final discussions regarding the potential move of Knesset Member Tali Gottlieb to Itamar Ben-Gvir's faction. The parties are finalizing procedural details for the transfer, including factional approval and Gottlieb's official integration.

Recently, Gottlieb spoke with Jewish Power chairman Ben-Gvir, who wishes to add her to his list for the upcoming elections. Ben-Gvir intends to offer Gottlieb a spot within the top five of the Jewish Power list, likely the fourth position. "I am awaiting the Prime Minister's decision on Gottlieb," Ben-Gvir stated, adding, "I will not take a single step before that."

Such a move requires Gottlieb to leave the Likud. This possibility, once considered remote, has become more plausible following her recent escalation of rhetoric against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Gottlieb intensified her attacks on Netanyahu yesterday, telling Radio Kol Barama that the Prime Minister "stabbed me in the back." She claimed to have "laid down on the line" for Netanyahu and the right-wing government, but now feels he and his associates are working to sideline her.

In recent meetings with Likud activists, Gottlieb alleged that Netanyahu is distancing himself from a strong stance against the judicial system. She further claimed his circle seeks to craft a new, more moderate image for the Likud, pushing aside figures like herself who are strongly identified with the fight against the Supreme Court and the judicial establishment.
