Two Civilian Pharmacists Arrested for Allegedly Stealing and Selling IDF Medications
Two civilian pharmacists working at the Glilot base have been arrested on suspicion of stealing tens of thousands of medications intended for IDF soldiers and selling them privately. The arrests were announced in a joint statement by the police, the Ministry of Defense, and the IDF.
The two individuals, employed as external suppliers by the Ministry of Defense, are suspected of fraudulently taking the medications, some of which are prescription drugs. They allegedly engaged in systematic private sales on the "black market," amassing tens of thousands of shekels.
Authorities suspect the individuals of multiple offenses, including theft by an authorized person, receiving goods under aggravated circumstances, reckless and negligent acts, and other violations under the Pharmacists Ordinance.
