New Poll Shows Right-Wing Bloc Maintains Majority, Netanyahu Leads PM Race

A new poll conducted by Channel 14 and published on Sunday, August 30, 2026, indicates that the right-wing bloc in Israel would secure 63 seats if elections were held today, maintaining its majority. The Likud party remains the largest single party with 31 mandates, unchanged from the previous poll. Gadi Eisenkot's National Unity party gained one seat, strengthening to 24 mandates and solidifying its position as the second-largest party.

Otzma Yehudit, led by Itamar Ben-Gvir, is projected to receive 7 seats, holding steady despite a significant campaign. Other parties showing results include Shas with 10 seats, Yahadut HaTorah with 7, and Yisrael Beiteinu also with 7 seats. The Arab parties' joint list received 7 mandates. United Torah Judaism and Otzma Yehudit each received 7 mandates. The Democratic party weakened to 8 seats, while the Religious Zionism and Am Israel parties, led by Ofer Winter, each received 4 seats.

In the race for Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu continues to lead, though his support has slightly decreased to 51% from 53% in the prior poll. Gadi Eisenkot saw an increase in support, rising to 35% from 33%. Naftali Bennett garnered 10% and Avigdor Lieberman received 4%. In a head-to-head matchup, Netanyahu still holds an advantage over Eisenkot, with 56% preferring Netanyahu as Prime Minister compared to 44% for Eisenkot.

The poll, which surveyed 666 adults, was conducted by NEXT DATA and analyzed by Shlomo Filber. The results suggest a stable political landscape regarding bloc majorities, despite shifts within individual parties.
