בלילה שבין שבת לראשון, 18 בספטמבר, נפגע צעיר כבן 18 באורח קשה לאחר שנפגע מרכב בחדרה. צוותי מד"א שהגיעו למקום העניקו לו טיפול ראשוני ופינו אותו לבית החולים הלל יפה בעיר במצב אנוש.

משטרת ישראל פתחה בחקירה לבירור נסיבות התאונה, ובפרט את זהות הנהג הפוגע והאם מדובר בתאונת פגע וברח.
