Teen Dies After Being Hit by Car in Suspected Murder in Hadera
A 17-year-old boy has died from his injuries after being struck by a car in the Village shopping complex in Hadera. Police are investigating the incident as a suspected murder, believing the car was driven intentionally at the victim following an altercation.
The teen was critically injured late Friday night when he was hit by a vehicle. MDA paramedics provided initial treatment at the scene and transported him to Hillel Yaffe Medical Center in the city. Despite extensive resuscitation efforts by medical staff, he was pronounced dead.
"When we arrived at the scene, we were led to the casualty who was lying in the parking lot of a commercial center after being hit by a vehicle, unconscious, without a pulse or breathing, and suffering from a severe head injury," said MDA paramedic Yiska Ben Nun and emergency medical technicians Victor Goltz and Yonatan Yankelovitz. "We immediately began advanced resuscitation efforts and evacuated him in an MDA intensive care unit to the hospital while continuing resuscitation, with his condition defined as critical."
The police investigation at the scene revealed that the incident began with a confrontation between parties. During this confrontation, the teen was run over. Subsequently, shots were fired at the driver of the car, who sustained minor injuries.
