צה"ל ושב"כ הודיעו על מעצרו של מחבל בכיר בטולכרם, פעיל מרכזי בארגון הטרור גדודי חללי אל-אקצא. המחבל, ששמו נאסר על פי פרסום ראשוני, היה מעורב בפעילות טרור שכללה ירי לעבר כוחות צה"ל ופעולות נוספות. המעצר בוצע במסגרת פעילות משותפת של כוחות הביטחון באזור חטיבת אפרים. פרטים נוספים על זהותו של המחבל ועל היקף פעילותו צפויים להתפרסם בהמשך. המעצר מהווה מכה משמעותית לארגון הטרור באזור ומסייע בסיכול פיגועים נוספים.
