Second Legal Threat Against Sara Netanyahu and Channel 14 Over Interview

Amir Sade, one of the defendants in the Caesarea flare-shooting case, has sent a second legal warning letter to Sara Netanyahu and Channel 14, demanding the immediate removal of an interview from all digital platforms and a public apology. This follows a similar warning issued to Yair Golan. Sade is seeking NIS 1.5 million in damages from each party if his demands are not met, threatening a severe defamation lawsuit.

The interview featured Netanyahu claiming the flare-shooting incident was a "planned act of terror" using a "phosphorus bomb" with the intent to kill. Sade's legal team, represented by Gonen Ben Yitzhak, argues that these claims constitute defamation of the highest order, falsely accusing a civilian with no criminal record, whose trial is ongoing, of attempted murder and the use of chemical weapons. They assert that court findings have already refuted these allegations.

Sade is demanding that Netanyahu issue a public correction and apology, clarifying that no phosphorus bombs were used and there was no intent to harm anyone. Channel 14 is also required to remove the interview and all its distributed clips. If these demands are not met, Sade intends to file separate lawsuits for NIS 1.5 million against Sara Netanyahu, Channel 14, and the company "Digital Now 14."

Sade's attorney stated, "The days when the Prime Minister, his family, and his propaganda channel lie and smear citizens without consequence are over. Sara Netanyahu will apologize, or she will pay."
