Yair Netanyahu Warns Against Splitting Right-Wing Vote Over Ofir Winter's Party

Yair Netanyahu, son of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, launched a sharp attack on candidates of the "Amcha Yisrael" party led by Ofir Winter on social media platform X. He warned that if the party runs independently, it could split the right-wing vote and harm their electoral chances. The comments followed the announcement that Yosef Haddad would join Winter's party, taking the second spot on the list. Haddad described the move as a joint political venture and predicted the party would be a key player in the upcoming elections.

Yair Netanyahu outlined three possible outcomes if "Amcha Yisrael" does not unite with Bezalel Smotrich's faction: the party fails to pass the electoral threshold and wastes right-wing votes; it passes but causes Smotrich to fall below the threshold; or both lists fail to pass. He insisted these scenarios were mathematically certain, not opinions. He further warned that any of these results would lead to the formation of a government headed by Gadi Eizenkot and Yair Golan, with Mansour Abbas participating.

He intensified his message by comparing the party's potential legacy to that of the "Hatikva" party, which he said was remembered for enabling Yitzhak Rabin's government and the Oslo Accords disaster. Yair Netanyahu repeated this warning in responses to other candidates on Winter's list, including Lali Deri and Eran Ben Ari, emphasizing the risks of running separately and not uniting with Smotrich's faction.
