Young Israeli Man Moderately Wounded in Stabbing Near Jordan Valley Village
A 24-year-old Israeli man from Beitar Illit was moderately injured in a stabbing attack near the village of Auja in the Jordan Valley on Sunday. According to security sources, the assailant, a 16-year-old, attacked the victim as he exited his vehicle at a shopping area near the village, stabbing him in the back before fleeing the scene.
Israeli security forces have launched a manhunt for the attacker. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have blocked access to the villages of Al-Awja and Fasayil in the Jordan Valley, as well as some entrances to Jericho, to contain the situation.
This incident follows a series of stabbing attacks in the West Bank, including one in Samaria where Major Yuval Ezra was killed and another where a civilian was seriously wounded and a soldier lightly injured. The ongoing violence has heightened security measures in the region.
