Northern Israeli Lawyer Arrested for Large-Scale Hard Drug Trafficking
The Haifa District Police arrested a lawyer from the Krayot area in northern Israel on suspicion of possessing and trafficking large quantities of hard drugs, including substances identified as "crystal" and "doctor." The arrest followed a targeted operational raid on the suspect's home, where police seized several dozen grams of suspected narcotics. The suspect was taken for questioning at the Zevulun police station and initially detained. His detention was extended multiple times by the court to accommodate ongoing investigations. After a recent appeal hearing, the court decided to release the lawyer under restrictive house arrest conditions. The police confirmed that the investigation is ongoing and that they intend to file formal charges against the suspect once it concludes.
