Eden Shamir Signs One-Year Deal with Tiberias Football Club
Tiberias football club has continued strengthening its squad for the upcoming season by signing experienced midfielder Eden Shamir. The 31-year-old, who played last season for Bnei Sakhnin, agreed to a one-year contract with an option for an additional year, facilitated by his agent Ariel Bozorgi. Shamir is the club's third signing this week, following defender Ziv Morgan and winger Nana Gamble.
Shamir arrived at Tiberias for training on the morning of August 16, 2026, meeting with players and coaching staff. The club aims to integrate him into match fitness quickly, with the possibility of including him in the squad for the upcoming Saturday game against Hapoel Petah Tikva. Tiberias is still seeking to recruit a striker, a left winger, and a defensive midfielder to complete their roster.
This move marks the seventh club in Shamir's career. He began in Hapoel Haifa's youth system, debuted professionally with Hapoel Kfar Saba, and later played for Hapoel Be'er Sheva, Standard Liège, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Maccabi Petah Tikva, and Bnei Sakhnin. Last season, he made 29 appearances, scoring two goals and providing one assist. Meanwhile, Tiberias is reportedly pursuing the return of Daniel Golani from Maccabi Haifa for another season, as first reported by Sport Channel's website.
