Eden Shamir Signs One-Year Deal with Option at Ironi Tiberias

Ironi Tiberias continues to strengthen its squad ahead of the upcoming season despite recent challenges, including a doping scandal and a loss in their last match. The club has signed experienced midfielder Eden Shamir, who previously played for Bnei Sakhnin last season. Shamir agreed to a one-year contract with an option for an additional year, facilitated by his agent Ariel Bozorgi. This marks Tiberias' third signing this week, following defender Ziv Morgan and winger Nana Gamble.

Shamir, 31, arrived at the club's training session on the morning of August 16, 2026, meeting teammates and coaching staff. The club aims to integrate him into the squad quickly, with the possibility of including him in the lineup for the upcoming Saturday match against Hapoel Petah Tikva. This will be Shamir's seventh club in his career, having developed at Hapoel Haifa, debuted professionally at Hapoel Kfar Saba, and played for Hapoel Be'er Sheva, Standard Liège, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Maccabi Petah Tikva, and Bnei Sakhnin, where he made 29 appearances last season, scoring two goals and providing one assist.

Ironi Tiberias is still seeking to sign a striker, a left winger, and a defensive midfielder to complete their roster. Additionally, the club is targeting the return of Daniel Golani from Maccabi Haifa for another season, as first reported by Sport Channel's website.
