Eden Shamir Joins Ironi Tiberias for Upcoming Season with Option

Ironi Tiberias, a football club from the Galilee region, has signed experienced midfielder Eden Shamir for the upcoming season with an option to extend. Shamir, 31, who was released from Bnei Sakhnin where he played last season, is the team's third signing this week following defender Ziv Morgan and winger Nana Gamble. The club is still seeking to strengthen its squad by adding a striker, a left winger, and a defensive midfielder.

Shamir will be joining Ironi Tiberias as the seventh club in his career. He began in the youth ranks of Hapoel Haifa, made his senior debut with Hapoel Kfar Saba, and later played for Hapoel Be'er Sheva, Standard Liège, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Maccabi Petah Tikva, and Bnei Sakhnin. Last season, he made 29 appearances for Sakhnin, scoring two goals and providing one assist.

In addition to player acquisitions, Ironi Tiberias is searching for a coach to work alongside Moti Krispil, who currently lacks a professional coaching certificate and cannot lead the team from the sidelines at the start of the season. The club expects to finalize the coaching appointment within 48 hours, with candidates including Nimrod Kostika, Alon Ziv, and Guy Weisinger. They have also considered Gal Arel, currently coaching Maccabi Petah Tikva's youth team, though he prefers to remain there for now.

The new coach is expected to make their debut in the first league round against Hapoel Petah Tikva. The club is managing this process amid ongoing challenges related to coaching certifications and regulatory issues in Israeli sports.
