Maccabi Tel Aviv Signs NBA Guard Keaton Wallace for Two Seasons

Maccabi Tel Aviv officially announced the signing of 27-year-old American guard Keaton Wallace to a two-year contract, replacing Loney Walker. Wallace, who stands 1.91 meters tall, joins the club from the Atlanta Hawks with a reported salary of $1.2 million per season. This signing completes Maccabi Tel Aviv's roster for the 2026/27 season under coach Oded Katash.

Club chairman Shimon Mizrahi praised the acquisition, highlighting Wallace's NBA experience and thanking the professional staff for their intensive work. Coach Katash emphasized Wallace's toughness and intensity on both ends of the court, expressing confidence that he will quickly integrate with the team and fans to help achieve their goals. Wallace himself stated, "I am ready to start working, winning games, and enjoying the process."

Wallace's basketball journey began at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), where he averaged 16.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 3.4 assists in his final college season. Undrafted in 2021, he progressed through the Los Angeles Clippers' development league before signing with the Atlanta Hawks in September 2023. He debuted in the NBA in October 2024 and has since played 84 regular-season games and three playoff games, with highlights including a 27-point game against the Chicago Bulls and a triple-double against the Orlando Magic.

Wallace joins other summer signings such as Yam Madar, Bonzi Colson, and Daniel Theis, providing Maccabi Tel Aviv with a deep and versatile backcourt. His defensive toughness, playmaking, and outside shooting are expected to strengthen the team as they prepare for the upcoming EuroLeague and Israeli Premier League seasons.
