Maccabi Tel Aviv Signs NBA Guard Khyton Wallace for Two Seasons

Maccabi Tel Aviv officially announced the signing of 27-year-old guard Khyton Wallace, who will strengthen the team's backcourt for the upcoming season. Wallace, standing 1.91 meters tall, joins the Israeli club after playing the last two seasons with the Atlanta Hawks in the NBA, marking his first professional experience in Europe. He replaces Loney Walker in the squad and signed a two-year contract worth $1.1 million per season.

Wallace entered the NBA more than three years after going undrafted in 2021. Over 84 games with Atlanta, including eight starts and three playoff appearances, he averaged 4.2 points and 2.1 assists in 12.3 minutes per game. Known for his tough defense and efficient three-point shooting, Wallace scored a career-high 27 points and recorded 15 points with 15 assists in his final game of the 2024/25 season. He is also the brother of NBA champion Caisson Wallace, who won a title with Oklahoma City.

Following the signing, Wallace expressed enthusiasm about joining Maccabi Tel Aviv, stating he is ready to work hard, win games, and enjoy the experience. Club chairman Shimon Mizrahi praised the acquisition of a player with NBA experience and thanked the coaching staff for their intensive work in assembling the team. Head coach Oded Katash highlighted Wallace's toughness and intensity on both ends of the court and expressed confidence that he will quickly integrate with the team and fans to help achieve their season goals.
