Maccabi Tel Aviv Signs NBA Guard Keaton Wallace for Two Years

Maccabi Tel Aviv has signed guard Keaton Wallace to a two-year contract, aiming to strengthen their backcourt. Wallace, 27 years old and 1.91 meters tall, played the last two seasons with the NBA's Atlanta Hawks. After signing, Wallace expressed his readiness to start working with his new team, win games, and enjoy the experience. Maccabi's coach, Oded Katash, praised Wallace for his toughness and intensity on both ends of the court, expressing confidence that he will quickly connect with the team and fans to help achieve their season goals.

Club chairman Shimon Mizrahi welcomed the signing, highlighting Wallace's NBA background and thanking the professional staff, including Claudio Coldebella, for their intensive work in assembling the roster. Wallace's NBA stats include an average of 3.5 points, 1.1 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 10 minutes per game during the 2025/26 season, shooting 37.3% from three-point range. In his rookie 2024/25 season, he averaged 5.4 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 2.6 assists in 16 minutes per game, with standout performances such as a career-high 27 points against the Chicago Bulls and a triple-double of 15 points, 11 rebounds, and 15 assists in a win over the Orlando Magic.

Undrafted in 2021 after finishing his studies at the University of Texas at San Antonio, Wallace earned his NBA spot through perseverance and professional growth. After two seasons with Atlanta, he is now set to begin a new chapter in European basketball with Maccabi Tel Aviv.
