Maccabi Tel Aviv Signs NBA Guard Khyton Wallace for $1.1 Million Per Season

Maccabi Tel Aviv officially announced the signing of 27-year-old guard Khyton Wallace, who will strengthen their backcourt for the upcoming season. Wallace, standing 1.91 meters tall, joins the Israeli club after two seasons with the NBA's Atlanta Hawks, marking his first professional experience in Europe. He signed a two-year contract worth $1.1 million per season.

Wallace entered the NBA over three years after going undrafted in 2021. During his tenure with Atlanta, he averaged 4.2 points and 2.1 assists in 12.3 minutes per game across 84 games, including eight starts and three playoff appearances. Known for his tough defense and efficient three-point shooting, Wallace posted a career-high 27 points and notably scored 15 points with 15 assists in his final game of the 2024/25 season. He replaces Loney Walker on Maccabi's roster and will complete the team's guard lineup.

Khyton Wallace is the brother of Caisson Wallace, an NBA champion with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Upon signing, Khyton expressed enthusiasm about joining Maccabi, stating he is ready to work hard, win games, and enjoy the experience. Maccabi chairman Shimon Mizrahi praised the signing, highlighting Wallace's NBA background as a key piece in completing the team's roster puzzle and thanked the coaching staff for their efforts. Head coach Oded Katash emphasized Wallace's toughness and intensity on both ends of the court and expressed confidence that he will quickly integrate with the team and fans to help achieve their season goals.
