Manor Solomon Set for Medical as West Ham Nears £5 Million Signing from Tottenham

Israeli winger Manor Solomon is expected to undergo medical tests on Sunday morning ahead of his official transfer to West Ham United. The deal, reportedly worth £5 million plus £2 million in future bonuses, will make Solomon the third summer signing for the Championship club, recently relegated from the Premier League. Despite earlier reports from The Athletic suggesting the transfer had collapsed over financial disagreements, both clubs have now reached an agreement. Tottenham will also retain a 10 percent sell-on clause for any future transfer of Solomon.

Solomon impressed during his preseason appearances for Tottenham and has a proven track record in English football, having previously played for Fulham, Leeds United, and Tottenham. At Leeds, he scored 10 goals and provided 12 assists in 30 starts, helping the club secure promotion back to the Premier League. His overseas career includes four seasons at Shakhtar Donetsk and loan spells at Villarreal and Fiorentina.

West Ham, preparing to start their Championship campaign against Burnley next Sunday, recently won 3-1 against Portsmouth in the first round of the League Cup. The club views Solomon as a winger capable of breaking down Championship defenses on his best days, according to the Hammers News blog. With the financial terms settled, Solomon's medical and signing are the final steps before he joins West Ham for the upcoming season.
