Manor Solomon Officially Joins West Ham After Transfer Agreement with Tottenham

Manor Solomon, the Israeli national team midfielder, is set to be officially presented today as a new player for West Ham United, following a transfer agreement between Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham. The London club, recently relegated to the English Championship, began their season with a 3-1 victory over Portsmouth. Solomon is expected to be a key player in West Ham's bid to return to the Premier League by the end of the upcoming season.

West Ham will pay Tottenham an immediate £5 million for Solomon, with an additional £2 million payable if the club secures promotion next summer. Tottenham will also receive 10% of any future transfer fee for the player. Solomon signed a three-year contract with West Ham, facilitated by his Israeli agents Ronen and Gilad Katzav and Shlomi Ben-Ezra, with assistance from agent Pini Zahavi. His salary at West Ham will be lower than what he earned during his three years at Tottenham.

Solomon joined Tottenham in summer 2023 but struggled to establish himself due to a serious injury. He was subsequently loaned to Leeds United, Villarreal, and Fiorentina. Despite Fiorentina's strong interest and attempts to sign him until the last moment, Solomon chose to remain in England and join West Ham. His representatives described this move as the best step for him, highlighting his familiarity with the Championship from his time at Leeds and his potential to become a central figure in West Ham's Premier League squad.
