Manor Solomon Set to Join West Ham and Could Debut Next Week

Manor Solomon's transfer to West Ham has been finalized, with the official signing expected within the next 24 hours. The Israeli player will immediately join his new team's training sessions, aiming to be included in the squad for the Championship's second round match against Burnley next Sunday. This move concludes Solomon's three-year tenure at Tottenham Hotspur, where the new coach Roberto De Zerbi did not see him as part of the club's plans for the upcoming season. Tottenham agreed to sell Solomon to their London rivals for a fee reportedly under £10 million, roughly half of their initial valuation.

The transfer faced challenges, including financial concerns and West Ham's management's worries about fan reactions due to Solomon's nationality. Initially, West Ham offered around £5 million but later increased their bid to include higher bonuses contingent on promotion back to the Premier League. West Ham's coach, Nuno Espírito Santo, personally pushed for the deal despite the club's relegation.
