Beitar Jerusalem Completes Eugene Ansah Paperwork, Expected to Sign Within 24 Hours

Beitar Jerusalem has already signed all the paperwork for Eugene Ansah’s transfer, including the revisions that were required, and at the club they believe the winger will sign, at the latest, by tomorrow. The deal is for two years with an option for a third season, after talks initially centered on a three-year contract.

Ansah is leaving M.S. Ashdod after the club was relegated. He had waited for an offer from abroad before moving ahead with Beitar, but eventually advanced negotiations with the Jerusalem club. The agreement reflects the compromise reached after the original demand was for a three-season contract.

Beitar also checked the process by which Ansah is seeking Israeli citizenship and concluded that once he moves to Jerusalem, the process can be advanced. The club’s working assumption is that he could be registered as an Israeli player in the coming months, though they are also preparing for the possibility that he may occupy a foreign-player slot until January.

As of Wednesday morning, there was still no progress on the situations of Dor Peretz or Sean Weissman. Beitar plans to wait for answers on those two targets over the next week, and if neither pursuit develops positively, the club will move on to other candidates for those positions.
