Beitar Jerusalem Signs Eugene Ansah as Israeli Citizenship Process Continues
Beitar Jerusalem announced on Monday evening that it has officially signed Eugene Ansah through 2028. Ansah, who played for M.S. Ashdod last season, is expected not to count as a foreign player because he is in the process of obtaining Israeli citizenship.
The report also noted that the citizenship procedure was discussed on the sports program "5 BaAvir" with legal status expert Lait Steinberg, who specializes in regulating foreign residency status. Steinberg, who previously represented Ali Mohamed, said she knows the process well.
The program highlighted that there is a significant gap between being eligible under the criteria and actually receiving citizenship. The item directed viewers to watch the full segment in the video player above.
