Beitar Jerusalem aims to close Eugene Ansah deal this week, citizenship status still unresolved
Beitar Jerusalem hopes to finalize the signing of Eugene Ansah this week, with the club saying the remaining gaps in negotiations are small and can be closed in the coming days. The report was published on June 14, 2026, at 12:19 by Sport 5.
The main open issue is Ansah’s naturalization process. Beitar is working on it as quickly as possible, but the club acknowledges it may still take time. Because of that, Ansah could sign with Beitar and initially be registered as a foreign player.
The Jerusalem club is also looking to add another midfielder if Dor Peretz does not eventually join. Peretz, who plays for Maccabi Tel Aviv, is one of the players Beitar wants for the position.
If Peretz decides to stay at Maccabi Tel Aviv, Beitar’s alternatives include Dan Glazer or Shai Elias as possible reinforcements for Almog Cohen’s squad.
