IDF Launches Targeted Strikes in South Lebanon Following Hezbollah Ceasefire Violation

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Wednesday that it has initiated targeted strikes in southern Lebanon in response to what it described as a "blatant violation" of the ceasefire agreement by the terrorist organization Hezbollah. The IDF spokesperson stated that these strikes are a direct reaction to Hezbollah's breach of the ceasefire.

Simultaneously, the IDF issued an unusual evacuation order for residents of the village of Al Manzouri in southern Lebanon. This marks the first time in several weeks that civilians in a southern Lebanese village have been asked to evacuate their homes ahead of military operations. IDF Arabic spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Ella Wa'aya emphasized that Hezbollah's violation forces the IDF to act decisively but reassured civilians that the IDF does not intend to harm them.

Residents were instructed to evacuate immediately and maintain a distance of at least 1,000 meters north of the village. The IDF warned that anyone found near Hezbollah operatives, infrastructure, or weaponry endangers their life. Security sources noted that the evacuation follows the establishment of a Lebanese army position within an area previously agreed upon between the parties, which contradicts prior arrangements.
