IDF Launches Targeted Strikes in Southern Lebanon After Hezbollah Ceasefire Violation

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Wednesday that it has initiated targeted strikes in southern Lebanon in response to what it described as a blatant violation of the ceasefire by Hezbollah. This announcement came shortly after the IDF issued an unusual evacuation warning to residents of the village of Al-Mansouri in southern Lebanon, marking the first such warning since the ceasefire took effect weeks ago.

In a statement delivered in Arabic, the IDF spokesperson emphasized that the military action was compelled by Hezbollah's breach of the ceasefire agreement. The IDF clarified that it does not intend to harm civilians and urged the residents of Al-Mansouri to evacuate their homes immediately and move at least 1,000 meters north to open areas until further notice. The warning also cautioned that anyone near Hezbollah operatives, facilities, or weapons risks their life.
