Yoav Eliasi, known as "HaTzel," is currently being questioned by the Israeli Police Investigations Department (Mahash) in connection with allegations surrounding his removal from the position of commander of the rapid response unit in the Tel Aviv district. The investigation follows a recent inquiry into a police officer of the rank of chief superintendent, suspected of using his position to advance Eliasi's interests at a club where Eliasi is a partner. The probe centers on accusations of breach of trust and misuse of police connections to influence authorities regarding the club's operations.

This case gained public attention after a report by Haaretz newspaper revealed a recording in which Eliasi boasted about leveraging his contacts to prevent the closure of the club. Eliasi was appointed to lead the Tel Aviv rapid response unit but was dismissed amid the ongoing investigation. As of now, no indictments have been filed, and Mahash emphasizes that the investigation is still ongoing.
