Rapper Yoav Eliasi and Three Police Officers Investigated for Breach of Trust in Tel Aviv Nightclub Case

Yoav Eliasi, known as "HaTzel," and three police officers were interrogated by the Police Investigations Department (Mahash) on suspicion of breach of trust related to a Tel Aviv nightclub. The investigation centers on allegations that the officers provided favors and assistance to the nightclub, which is owned by Eliasi's brother. Following their questioning, all four were released under restrictive conditions, including being barred from police facilities. The probe continues.

Eliasi's summons followed an investigative report by Haaretz claiming he boasted about leveraging his police connections to prevent the closure of the "John Doe" nightclub, where he is a partner, after a violent incident. Earlier in the week, a police officer of the rank of superintendent was also questioned under caution for allegedly advancing Eliasi's interests at the club and was similarly released with restrictions, including a ten-day ban on contact with those involved.

In response to the ongoing investigation, Police Commissioner Major General Danni Levi suspended Eliasi from his role as commander of the rapid response unit in the Tel Aviv district and confiscated his service weapon. The Haaretz report quoted Eliasi saying he "educates them in the police that this club cannot be touched" and demanded immediate updates on any police-related events involving the club. The Police Investigations Department opened the inquiry following the publication of these claims, and the investigation is still underway.
