Two-Year-Old Toddler Drowns in Pool at Shdot Mikha Guesthouse, Condition Critical

By ערוץ 7
Translated & summarized from Arutz Sheva by baba
The story · English

A two-year-old toddler drowned in a pool at a guesthouse in the Shdot Mikha settlement in the Mateh Yehuda Regional Council on Monday afternoon. Paramedics from Magen David Adom (MDA) and United Hatzalah arrived at the scene and performed resuscitation efforts on the child, who was unconscious when pulled from the pool. The toddler was then airlifted by MDA helicopter to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem in critical condition.

Rescuers Issachar Yaakovzon, Mordechai Friedman, and Itzik Fox from United Hatzalah's rescue unit reported that the family informed them the child had drowned and was pulled from the pool unconscious at the guesthouse where they were staying. They administered CPR before the child was transported to the hospital.

The incident remains under medical evaluation at Hadassah Ein Kerem, with the toddler's condition described as critical.
