Two-Year-Old Boy Dies After Drowning in Private Pool in Shdot Micha

A tragic incident occurred in the Mateh Yehuda Regional Council area when a two-year-old boy drowned in a private pool at a guesthouse in the Shdot Micha moshav. The child was pulled from the pool unconscious around 17:12 and was immediately treated by emergency responders at the scene. Despite advanced resuscitation efforts by United Hatzalah and Magen David Adom (MDA) teams, and being airlifted to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in critical condition, doctors declared his death.

United Hatzalah medics Issachar Yakubzon, Mordechai Friedman, and Itzik Fox reported that the boy was found unconscious in the pool where his family was staying. MDA paramedics Rafael Tolidano, Eliya Binyamin, and Ari Rabinovitch described their rapid response and intensive life-saving measures, including CPR and medication administration, but were ultimately unable to save him.

The police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the drowning. The incident has deeply affected the local community and emergency teams involved.
