Translated & summarized from Channel 13 by baba
The story · English

A two-year-old toddler was critically injured after drowning in a private pool near Jerusalem on Monday afternoon. Emergency medical services received the report at 17:12, and paramedics performed resuscitation efforts at the scene before transporting the child in critical condition.

Earlier on the same day, police and volunteer canine unit members launched an extensive search in the Sea of Galilee for a man in his 40s who went missing after entering the water in the morning, with concerns for his life.

Over the weekend, multiple drowning incidents occurred along Israel's coast. On Saturday, a 64-year-old man drowned near Neve Yam beach south of Atlit; he was found unconscious and later pronounced dead at Rambam Hospital in Haifa. Less than two hours later, a man in his 60s drowned at Blue Ray beach in Netanya and was hospitalized in critical condition. Another 65-year-old man was also rescued near Herzliya beach and remains in critical condition.
