Two-Year-Old Boy Drowns in Private Pool in Mateh Yehuda, Rescuers Fight for His Life

A severe drowning incident occurred on Monday afternoon in the Mateh Yehuda Regional Council area, where a two-year-old boy was found unconscious in a private pool at a residential home. Emergency teams from Magen David Adom (MDA) and United Hatzalah were quickly dispatched to the scene following a distress call received at 17:12 reporting the toddler floating in the pool, apparently having entered the water unsupervised.

Upon arrival, rescuers found the child in critical condition, without pulse or breathing. Paramedics immediately began advanced resuscitation efforts including CPR and life-saving medical treatment. The boy's condition remains critical and grave as medical teams continue intensive attempts to revive him.

United Hatzalah spokesperson confirmed ongoing resuscitation efforts at the site, which was identified as a private pool at a guesthouse in Sdot Micha. The incident is part of a series of recent medical emergencies across Israel, including a separate case in Binyamina where a 26-year-old woman was resuscitated after electrocution.

Authorities have not released further updates yet, and the situation remains under close medical supervision as the boy fights for his life.
