Two-Year-Old Haredi Girl in Critical Condition After Drowning in Home Pool in Beit Shean
A two-year-old Haredi girl drowned in a backyard pool at her home in Beit Shean on Wednesday morning. Rescue teams from United Hatzalah arrived at the scene after the child was pulled from the water unconscious. They provided immediate medical assistance and performed CPR on the toddler.
Despite ongoing resuscitation efforts, the girl was evacuated in critical condition to a hospital. Uriel Israeli, head of the United Hatzalah branch in Beit Shean, along with medics Eliran Tzuria and Elhanan Breska, reported that the family had rescued her from the pool without consciousness. United Hatzalah's mental health teams also supported the family during the incident.
The incident highlights the dangers of unattended pools and the critical role of emergency medical responders in saving lives. Authorities have not released further details about the child's condition following hospitalization.
